Food was good. I was really happy w/ my choice of the Salmon Samba. Perfectly made, and the assorted sauces added a nice touch to the rolls. Service was good, but it seemed like it took awhile to get my order. Ambiance is nice. Small setting, maybe enough for 10-15 ppl.
Introduction: - never had a sushiritto in my life. Thought it was interesting idea and came here to try it out with my cousins. Pros: - We had the satori sushiritto. It was delicious!! Fish was fresh and rich in fat. We combined the sushiritto with many different sauces chimichurri, kabayaki (chocolate soy sauce) , spicy mayo, diablo sauce, and many more. It gives it an interesting kick or depth of many flavors that work well with the fish. - it came out pretty quick and ready to go. Server took it out and delivered it to our table within like 5 minutes. - there are plenty of seats to sit down for a quick bite. There isn't any wait. Overall: - recommend this place for fish lovers and pescatarians.
(Overall: 92% | A) - After returning to the Bay, of course I had to revisit Sushirrito, one of my favorite places in Downtown Palo Alto. While others do not seem to like this place much, I still think their Sumo Crunch is incredible. After all these years, they still maintained most of the quality -- it is better made than the numerous times I went to the Sushirrito in SF. The Sumo Crunch did look like it shrank in size a bit and the flavor is a bit more mild than it used to be, but paired with a side of herb sauce, I still think the imitation crab + shrimp tempura + that beautiful red tempura flake coating makes this a fantastic snack or lunch. The staff at Sushirrito are also always friendly and I did notice that the tables got upgraded with cute little sauce bottles as well! I would still highly recommend. My top two uare the sumo crunch and the latin ninja. IG: @amei.eats
This is a modern, clean fast food style sushi roll restaurant. They claim to be Japanese with a Latin flair. It was my first time trying a shushirrito. It's basically a seaweed wrapped hand roll. I tried one of their most popular items the Salmon Samba and it was very good. Several drivers came in to pick up orders, apparently for one of the services such as Uber eats. If you're dining in, you can just walk up to the counter to order it. The staff was friendly and helpful. Of note, cash is not accepted at this facility. I marked them down for four stars since they don't accept cash. I would like to come back to try the various rolls.
Love love love the sushi burrito concept!! Came here on a trip to the Bay Area and was my fav fast casual spot! The sumo crunch was great - as a fan of imitation crab meat and tempura shrimp, I found it to be amazing blend of flavor and textures. Very filling and satisfying. It was a perfect experience, except for the fact that I found a hair in my burrito, but they gladly remade it and were apologetic (it happens).
